It's A Beauty Full Day

What an exciting time  to be alive on Planet Earth. With peace we travel and with pure potential we flow in permanence. We share and step lightly with the planet in full awareness, and with trust we shine.

Obama on Technology as Solution

Obama suggested that technology would be the ultimate solution.

"Canada, the United States, China, India, the European Union, all of us are going to have to work together in an effective way to figure out how do we balance the imperatives of economic growth with very real concerns about the effect we're having on our planet,"....

This is precisely what Peace Portal believes - and not just in terms of environmental technologies, also economic alternatives like the FDU virtual Economy model, SCALE local cooperatives and exchange systems, and of course Access Points.

"So the dilemma that Canada faces, the United States faces, and China and the entire world faces, is how do we obtain the energy that we need to grow our economies in a way that is not rapidly accelerating climate change."

Well we have a few good solutions here at Peace Portal, how about growing Paulownia Trees for both CO2 sequestration and for creating bio-fuels from their leaves?; or

How about the VegaWatts system? the innovative new cogeneration system for restaurants and food service facilities that uses waste cooking oil as a readily available source of fuel to generate on-site electricity and hot water, saving thousands of dollars as well as providing a clean, renewable source of energy; or

How about Plasma Power Generation, or other technologies in the Free Energy section of this sites library

'The more that we can develop technologies that tap alternative sources of energy but also contain the environmental damage of fossil fuels, the better off we're going to be.'

- U.S. President Barack Obama
