The transition from wilderness to agriculture takes hundreds of thousands of years, precipitated by climate changes.

Assets were mobile so everyone was free to leave if they were unhappy with their clan or community.

The transition from Agricultural to Industrial Age takes hundreds of years and is marked by the Middle Ages or Dark Ages. The Church as the main power falls and Nations rise in its place.

Assets are stationary, all assets are pledged to the corporate State.

The transition from the Industrial to Information Age will happen in a single generation.

Welfare State declines due to privatization and globalization.

Private cyber economies appear - assets are mobile again..
Sovereignty is in each person, the Individual. Sovereignties is in the Monarch or the Pope.. Sovereignties is fixed in nations. Sovereignty is now available to the Individual.
Labor consists of hunting and gathering. Labor is on the land as a farmer, generally as a Serf. Labor moves into factories and away from farming. Labor is based on knowledge. People work from Anywhere.  
Money is food and art that is traded. Money is gold coin. Money is paper. Money is digital.
Migration is based on climate changes and availability of food. Migration is to farmlands and markets. Migration to New World Colonies, and then towns with factories. Migration of assets is to Cyberspace. Havens for "economic" citizenship. 
Citizens don't exist; everyone is free to leave clan or community. Citizens are subjects of the Church or Feudal Lord. Citizens are subjects to the State in which they were born. Citizens are customers by choice using currencies and systems that are honorable.
Communications are face to face. Communications are face to face. Communications are face to face, through travel and letter writing. Communications are global with immediate delivery.

It is time to relieve these pressures on people and the environment by using a complimentary Information Age economic system where value is not based on natural resources but on Information, a system where everyone is treated and compensated equally.
