The overall Enterprise Goal of Peace Portal is to create a more sustainable future on our planet, while simultaneously tackling issues of poverty, the environment, lack of dignified wage earning jobs, and access to basic resources such as health care, education, water, freedom, and food.
Achieving this level of integrated sustainable development requires collaboration among various multi-displinned sectors, institutions, participating stakeholders, and effected individuals. There are a multitude of ways people and organizations can work together to share knowledge, advocate and take action. Fostering coordinated efforts between activist groups, resulting in greater productivity, is one of the main purposes of Peace Portal.
Our project-networking applications and knowledge sharing platform provides mechanisms for activists to identify priorities, undertake joint research and for engaging others in defining, analyzing, and developing workable solutions. By combining knowledge, efforts, and best practices, Peace Portal organizations and their members create sustainable partnerships which allow everyone to achieve greater results than they would have on their own.
In order to achieve our goals, the following issues must be addresses using a holistic integrated plan of action which address the following; Poverty, lack in Education, infrastructure, and Health Resources, the industrial age economic model, environmental issues, and access to diginified wage earning opportunities which create wealth without depleting natural resources or further warming the Earth.
|
Website Goals:
1) Rally concerned people, activists, and organizations toward creating cooperative and collaborative multi-party teams to develop sustainable approaches to addressing poverty in communities of greatest needs by leveraging information age tools (see The Game) and by choosing to work together.
2) Develop & Share a database of current and developing technologies designed to support responsible wealth creation practices, sustainable community practices combining environmental needs with those of the local economy, global expansion, volunteer outreach, project networking, and analysis of best practices.
3) Construct a model using a Game for interaction at a distance that: motivates participatory behaviour and methodologies, connects culturally diverse groups, and have proven to be effective tools for leveraging Information Age technology in the past.
4) Restore humility and compassion in the development of our future society by providing people with a sustainable wage earning option that does not require use of natural resources.
|
|
Organizational Goals:
1) Research and foster relationships with diverse cultures, organizations, and individuals throughout the world.
2) Develop multi-disciplined teams from across the globe to facilitate development and delivery of information, services and technology.
3) Create a network of pioneers in all essential fields for community development that act as advisors/facilitators for project management.
4) Fund projects and provide tools for connecting resources, people and projects important to sustainable living by leveraging the tools now available via information age technologies.

Whereas, we believe it self-evident that:
1. Recognition of the sovereignty of all living beings, and reverence, respect, and non-harmfulness for the endless diverse expressions of life, constitutes the foundation of justice and peace in human society; and
2. Existence and life are of divine origin and nature and all unalienable rights of each living person inhere therein and derive there from; and
3. Each living person has a right to choose and actually experience a life of peace and prosperity, without war or poverty; and
4. War and violent conflict disrupt the social and economic fabric of societies and interfere with the well-being of individuals; and
5. Freedom is an unalienable right and a universal aspect of man's true nature, essential for full exercise of faculties and for the infinite diversity of existence to manifest itself. Freedom is necessary for happiness, learning, self-actualization, and fulfillment; and
Whereas, we agree with the global community that we must all uphold the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which recognizes equal rights of all members of the human family as the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world; and
We agree that everyone is entitled to realization, through individual, peer, community, national and international co-operation; we agree to provide tools of the information age that will empower individuals themselves to realize the economic, social, cultural and security rights indispensable for human dignity and the free development of personality; and
Whereas, we believe that our solutions and platform will be a positive contribution to increasing peace, sustainability, and human welfare;
Therefore, we seek:

NEW ECONOMIC MODEL NEEDED
What an astounding thing it is to watch a civilization destroy its self because it is unable to re-examine the validity, under totally new circumstances, of an economic ideology.
~ Sir James Goldsmith
The powerlessness we feel is not a sign of personal failings, but reflects the incapacities of our institutions. We need to reconstruct those we have, or create new ones, for globalization is not incidental to our lives; it is the way we live now.
~ Anthony Giddens
Debt is a direct expression of the unjust global economic order which is the result of a long history of slavery, exploitation and terms of trade which are detrimental to the poor.
~ Sir Alan Walters,
The central challenge we face today is to ensure that globalization becomes a positive force for all the worlds people, instead of leaving billions behind.
~ Kofi Anan

Our goal is to expand economic opportunity by connecting projects which bring Access, Markets, and Community to those in need. Prosperity Program is designed to expand opportunity for those in, or at risk of, persistent poverty via programs that: increase income security, help people connect to the globalized information age labor market, protect their earnings from theft, and enable them to advance into a more sustainable lifestyle.
Escaping persistent poverty is a daunting challenge, particularly those in third world countries where government assistance is essentially impossible. It is private non-profit groups which provide the majority of services to the most impoverished people;
