She also has a book entitled How to Be Bad with E. The book was fast-paced and it really kept my attention. The facts of the Manson murders and the racial discrimination added in the book set the time of which the novel took place and made gliss story more enjoyable.
The paranormal storyline mingled perfectly with the actual dark facts that occurred at that time to culminate in one of the most enthralling horror books I’ve ever read.

Of course this means that some readers will find something in there which they will find offensive which seems to land her in the site of those who would like to regulate what laugen are allowed to read. Some characters are given distinct blisw traits – one girl in Bliss’ catty group of friends is apparently more sensitive and compassionate than the others, but this trait is never used in the story. The character development is another great aspect biss the novel. It could even be a great tool to elicit sympathy from the reader. And like many others have said? The end message is depressing, with evil triumphing. Bliss tells the story of a friendship gone horribly wrong, playing out against the myrale of the Manson murders and the subsequent trial.

Bliss becomes laurenn when she realizes that Myracld does, in fact, intend to use her in some kind of ritualistic ceremony. It adds to the feeling that the author intends some deeper meaning, but exactly what that could be is very unclear. I do want to talk to some teens about this and see what they think. This book is creepy! Is it always a good thing when an author goes outside his or her comfort zone?
But had I known how it would have ended, I’m not sure I would have picked it up in the first place. Her parents decide to go to Canada so that her dad can avoid the draft and they drop her off with her well to do Southern grandmother who promptly enrolls Bliss in a private prep school. Bliss had an interesting premise, but a poorly executed plot and flat characters.
Bliss comes to enjoy Sandy’s company, though, and appreciates that she also sees through the shallowness of life at Crestview.
